Message from the Founder, Mr Chua Chin Seng

In 1999, God touched me to open a half-way house. I was shocked and couldn’t believe that it is what God wants me to do. I struggled much, I was afraid; I have little education, and I don’t have money, I don’t even know how to start… I thought it was ridiculous to start a half-way house from scratch. But the Lord showed me in Rom 9:16, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.”  With the Lord’s encouragement, by faith, in July 1999, Watchman’s Home (a drug rehabilitation and counseling home) was started. Indeed the Lord wants me to experience and know Him in a very personal way.

God impressed me to name the half-way house as ‘Watchman’s Home’ (守望之家). That we should be like the watchman, to watch over, to encourage, to build one another in the Lord. Watchman’s Home will extend helps and shelter for those seeking a new lease in life. The aims of Watchman’s Home are:
